Sheriff: Geneva resident failed to report living situation, received $6,000 in benefits illegally

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Geneva resident following an investigation involving the local housing authority.

According to a news release, Deidra Pullen, 26, of Geneva was charged with grand larceny after allegedly concealing an adult household member living with her for a year without reporting it to the Geneva Housing Authority.

Deputies say that due to her failure to report the living arrangement, Pullen fraudulently obtained more than $6,000 in public housing benefits.

She was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.
