Steuben and Chemung Counties have scheduled at-home COVID-19 test kits Friday.
WENY-TV reports there are 3,700 available kits to be distributed at each city, town or village hall in Chemung County.
Steuben County has a shipment of both at-home tests and KN95 masks that will be given out Friday at the Corning Fire Department. Residents can pick them up at the rear of the building, using the Craumer Drive entrance. They’re expected to run out quickly.
Corning Mayor Bill Boland said “this is a time for us all to recommit to all the steps we know by now that slow the spread of the virus. Protecting ourselves, and others, should be foremost in our decisions and actions.”
