The town of Seneca Falls has been awarded a crucial, $2.1 million state loan for sewer upgrades.
The loan is interest-free and comes from the state Environmental Facilities Corporation.
The intent is to provide sanitary sewer rehabilitation and storm sewer improvements.
Governor Kathy Hochul announced the loan award. Altogether more than $83 million in these loans are being deployed across the state.
Specifically, the loan in Seneca Falls will aid in improving the Kingdom Road pump station, and assist with construction of a new sewer line from that pump station down West Bayard Street.
