Stimulus check: how to qualify for claim the additional $1,400 stimulus check in 2022

If you’re part of the group that welcomed a new child during the year 2021, you may be entitled to another $1,400 check in 2022.

Anyone with kids in 2021 received a $1,400 stimulus check for each child.

The parents that got the checks had them automatically sent by the IRS based on the previous year’s tax return.

Am I eligible for a $1,400 stimulus check?

You must file 2021 taxes to be eligible. The deadline is April 15, 2022.

Married couples making up to $150,000 and single taxpayers making up to $75,000 will qualify for the payment.

Once tax returns are processed the checks will be sent.

This is not to be confused with child tax credit payments, which are an advance on the tax refund that can be claimed for dependents when filing taxes in 2022.
