One of the interested parties for the open seat on the Waterloo Board of Education has withdrawn their name, leaving two candidates that were interviewed Tuesday.
Melissa Marquart withdrew her name leaving Joe Sposato and Charles Bronson in the running.
They were interviewed Tuesday and the board will make their decision Oct. 18.
Bronson was on the board for six years and left in May after not seeking reelection and Sposato is a retired teachers, coach, and athletic director for Waterloo.
Melissa Nicolini resigned, opening up the spot. Her term ends June 30, 2022.
