A Pennsylvania man was rescued from Seneca Lake on Monday after his kayak overturned.
Paul Zimmerman, of Pennsylvania told deputies that he was attempting to take a photo just after 7 a.m. when his kayak overturned off Serenity Road in Torrey.
The 64-year-old had a life jacket on, but had extra vests, a whistle, and his cell phone. He used that phone to call 911, which was utilized for first responders to pinpoint his location.
He was spotted hanging on to his kayak, which was drifting north on the east side of the lake.
Zimmerman was treated at the scene and released.
A number of first responders from the Ontario and Yates counties assisted.
