A second defendant has plead guilty for the murder of a man in Auburn in 2019

During the second day of jury selection, a man accused of murdering a 36-year-old man in Auburn has pleaded guilty.

This comes days after his co-defendant also took a plea deal.

Gage Ashley, 24, pleaded guilty to first and second degree murder, attempted robbery, conspiracy, criminal possession of a weapon, and tampering with physical evidence.

He admitted to partaking in the murder of Joshua Poole on Delevan Street in Auburn in 2019.

Ashley’s indeterminant sentence will run concurrently and he received 21 years to life for each murder charge.

The rest of his sentencing for the other charges will happen Nov. 18.

A third suspect still has a trial at a later date.
