Governor Kathy Hochul released the data for covid-19 rates last week, and the Finger Lakes Region is on the rise.
Rates for days at the end of last week were:
- Thursday, 4.51%
- Friday, 4.55%
- Saturday 4.68%
The counties that make up the Finger Lakes Region include Wayne, Ontario, Livingston, Yates, Seneca, Genesee, Orleans, Monroe, and Wyoming counties.
Overall, the state is at 3.04% out of 179,025 tests.
In the last 24 hours there have been 29 deaths.
344,976 people have received the vaccine in the last week and 81.4% of New Yorkers over the age of 18 have at least one dose.
Out of all New Yorkers eligible for the vaccine, 66.7% have had at least one dose.
