The Finger Lakes has reclaimed a disappointing spot in state rankings for COVID-19 test positivity rate, according to Governor Kathy Hochul’s office.
According to a recent update, the Finger Lakes region had a positive test rate of 3.03%, with a 7-day rolling average of 3.31%.
More than two dozen people had died from COVID-19, according to officials as of Sunday. Those deaths came in the 24 hour reporting period that came before Sunday.
The state’s total vaccination number reached 23.9 million.
The Finger Lakes region includes Ontario, Livingston, Monroe, Wayne, Yates, Seneca, Steuben, Genesee, Orleans, and Wyoming counties.
