Two arrests made after car chase in Western New York

Two Hornell residents were arrested after they led police on a car chase in Western New York on Thursday.

Anthony Drake, 25, and Brittany Howard, 27, were in a Chevrolet Silverado at Crittenden Road and Main Street in Newstead when State Police tried to make a traffic stop.

The incident happened around 6:42 p.m. on Sept. 2. The two individuals failed to comply with the Trooper after they turned on the emergency lights.

Batavia Police used a tire deflating device to stop the truck.

Howard was found to be in possession of brass knuckles, crystal meth, and other drugs.

Drake was arrested for reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and multiple traffic tickets.
