Governor Kathy Hochul stepped into office and wasted no time setting out to do the things she wanted to do- but the public is thinking maybe a bit too quickly.
Hochul called legislators back to Albany to take care of the eviction crisis and the cannabis control board.
NY Coalition for Open Government President Paul Wolf believes she should have waited and released what was being voted on to the public. The way things were handled did not give the public time to process what was happening, and Hochul had made a promise of transparency.
State Senate Minority Leader Rob Ortt agreed with Wolf and said he did not receive information until hours before the vote.
