A new assistant principal has been announced for the Newark Middle School.
Eileen Kalbfus has her four year probationary appointment approved by the school board on Aug. 18 and replaced Kari Hamelinck who will be the assistant principal of the Newark High School.
Prior to this, Kalbfus worked as an academic intervention teacher and instructional coach for Rochester City School District at Pinnacle School 35. She also worked as a technology integration specialist and taught kindergarten through sixth grade at various school in the Rochester city school district.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo, master’s from Nazareth College, and administrative certification fro the University of Rochester.
She resides in Fairport with her family.
