Local prosecutors have requested that the Attorney General’s office does not release transcripts of interviews from the independent investigation done on Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Attorney General Letitia James said she wanted to release it and believes in transparency, but the district attorneys asked them not to and the office is complying.
The DAs are currently reviewing the transcripts.
The Attorney General’s office is now working with Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple after Brittany Commisso, who alleges Gov. Cuomo groped her at the Governors Mansion, filed a criminal complaint.
When James was asked if she planned to run for governor, she pointed out that she did not want to politicize the events but complete the investigations she was currently in the middle of.
