Samsung Pay now offers their users a way to carry an electronic vaccine card on their phone

New York State and California have launched their own versions of electronic COVID vaccine cards, but now anyone with Samsung Pay has the ability to have one too.

Samsung phones that support Samsung Pay have partnered with The Commons Project, a healthcare nonprofit.

To utilize the app, Samsung users must download the CommonHealth app from the Google Play store and if their vaccine provider participates can follow the directions to link their record.

It can then be added to their Samsung Pay wallet.

It’s not guaranteed that places requiring vaccines will accept the electronic Samsung Pay version, but it’s only a matter of time before electronic passes catch on like they have in other places.
