New unemployment system will give those who once worked full-time now working part-time the difference in pay

New York State has began their newly updated partial unemployment system.

The new systems will determine how much a person gets based on how many hours they worked in a week.

The system is geared toward people who were working full time and are now working part time at 30 hours or less per week and not making over $504 per week.

The following chart explains that changes depending on hours:

For ten or less hours, there is no reduction. Over 31 hours there will be no unemployment.
