Tompkins County is now not only considered high transmission, but children make up 20% of their positive COVID-19 cases.
The number has remained the same since May 1, 2021.
However, for children under 12, they only make up for 1% of positive cases.
Right now there are 144 active cases and 9 hospitalizations in Tompkins County.
22 children have tested positive in just the last two weeks.
