Many are wondering exactly how Kathy Hochul will handle the nursing home cover up after Cuomo officially steps down now that she’s promised full transparency.
In March the Personal Caregiver Act was passed, which allows residents to have two people designated as their personal caregivers enter the nursing home.
An advocate for the bill, Marcella Goheen, said she believes justice will be served as families continue to fight for answers and clarity.
Goheen also says she looks forward to Hochul taking over and revealing the truth.
When asked during an interview with Face The Nation when she planned to release the data, Hochul answered that she would not raise expectations until documents were in her hand.
She says she has met with the the commissioner of health to discuss the request of data and will have her team looking at it early on.
She stated she had a lot of priorities but that the request for data would be one of them.
