A Geneva Reads story walk will be installed at the Lakefront Park in Geneva.
A story walk is where a story can be read one page at a time by families and children as they walk from start to finish.
The project began with laminated pages stuck to wooden stakes and transported to the location of the story walk.
A story walk committee was formed and funding provided by Geneva Community Projects, Geneva Rotary Club Benevolent Fund, and the Richard D. Donchian Foundation.
Local businesses are donating signage and supplies to the story walk as well, including CQ Signs’ owner Peter Miller donating the sign at the start of the walk and Vance Metal Fabricators donating the mental support for the sign.
The goal is to put out a new book every two weeks.
