As Covid-19 cases rise, vaccination rates are falling, but some students are still eager to get their shot.
Between August 8 and 14 2,000 people got the vaccine, half the amount it was two weeks ago.
One 14-year-old said he got it after his friends said it was easy and has joined the 73% of people ages 12 and older who have had at least the first shot in Monroe County.
Another student attending the U of R this fall said he waited because he hadn’t come into contact with many this summer and lives alone.
In order to move back onto campus at the college this fall, vaccines are required.
