A local firefighter has retired after serving the community over the course of four decades.
Ted Smith, a Geneva firefighter retired over the weekend.
C.J. Folger Hook and Ladder Company shared an image of Smith working on its Facebook page.
“Thank you for your selfless service to the citizens of Geneva. We wish you a long, happy, and healthy retirement,” Hook and Ladder said in the congratulatory message on Facebook.
