There is going to be a massive development in Wayne County- the likes of which have not been seen in some time.
Developers have been coming to the town of Macedon, along Route 31, since it borders Monroe County- and offers a quick escape from Rochester’s core suburbs.
The latest development is by Penfield-based Indus Hospitality Group- who will build a 70-unit, three-story hotel on Route 31 near the intersection of Wayneport Road. This development will also see a KFC built on it.
A second developer has also entered the picture- planning a mixed used development close to the hotel. Altogether that will bring 280 townhomes, as well as three commercial spaces.
All of the approvals necessary for the projects have been secured. That said, it will take some time for it all to come together.
The hotel development in particular is viewed as immensely beneficial for Wayne County, which currently has just two full-scale hotels in operation.
