While trying to kill a skunk with a crossbow, a 58-year-old man was killed.
State Police responded to reports of a man being shot by a crossbows in the town of Taylor after 9 p.m.
Paramedics were on scene before police.
Investigations showed James R. Parker was trying to kill a skunk outside the home with another man.
The other man shot at the skunk with the crossbow, accidentally hitting Parker.
The investigation is ongoing.
