The New York State Fair has announced their Special Fair Days that include special discounts.
Attendees 65 and older or 12 and under will be admitted for free for the entirety of the 2021 event.
Friday, August 20 is Governor’s Day Opening Day with normal admission.
Saturday, August 21 is Fidelis Care Youth Student Day with youth and students ages 18 and under admitted free with proof of age.
Monday, August 23 is Fire & Rescue Day with free admission to any active or retired member of a fire department or emergency services organization who has a picture ID from that department or organization.
Thursday, August 26 is Dairy Day, focusing on the dairy industry and NYS dairy farmers.
Friday, August 27 is Pride Day New Americans Day. The New York State Fair will be the first fair in the country to have an official day in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community with a flag raising ceremony at 10:30 a.m.
A celebration will also be held for 100 individuals in the Daniella’s Steak & Seafood meeting room at the Art & Home Center at 12 p.m. to witness their completion of becoming American.
Monday, August 30 is Law Enforcement Day with free admission for active or retired law enforcement personnel with presentation of their photo ID for the department they work for.
Tuesday, August 31 is Beef Day, celebrating the beef industry in New York State.
Wednesday, September 1 is St. Joseph’s Health Women’s Day which celebrates contributions made by women.
Thursday, September 2 is Armed Forces day with free admission to any active duty member or veteran with ID.
Thursday, September 2 is Native Americans Day, with members of Native American Tribes being admitted for free. ID isn’t required but they are asked to go through Gate 4.
Monday, September 6 is Labor Day Midway Dollar Day with a parade at 11:30 a.m. and Special Wade Show Midways Dollar promotions.
