The New York State Police Hate Crimes Task Force will be assisting in an investigation of an anti-Semitic attack that happened at Syracuse University.
After 1 a.m. on Saturday, it was reported that someone threw an egg at a group of SU students and shouted anti-Semitic remarks at the group from a car near the corner of Waverly and University avenues.
The egg hit a student but no injuries were reported. The vehicle was described as a silver SUV.
The police department does not know yet if the perpetrator is affiliated with Syracuse University.
