On July 10, 2021, the Farm Sanctuary reopened in Watkins Glen for the first time since 2019, celebrating 35 years.
The purpose of the Farm Sanctuary is to give farm animals appropriate care and nourishment.
The farm was able to save the life of a baby calf in March and has focused on giving it a positive living environment to grow.
The farm offers one hour tours where participants can learn about the struggles the animals on the farm have gone through and more about the realities of the food system.
Other ways people can help the farm is through volunteering or the adoption of an animal through the Grand Farm Animal Program.
