The Ovid Historical Society invites you to a public program on Siltstone Houses of Ovid & Lodi, on Monday, July 19, 2021, starting at 6:30 pm. The program will be held at the Ovid Historical Society Museum, 7203 Main Street (Route 414) Ovid, NY 14521. The presenter is Seneca County Historian Walter Gable. The program is free and open to the public.
At this power point program, the presenter will clarify what is siltstone and how siltstone houses differ from cobblestone houses. He will also show several pictures of these various houses and provide extensive information on the history of the house and its owners. Some of the current owners will be present.
