On Monday around 5:30 p.m. deputies served a warrant on a Montour Falls man with the assistance of New York State Police and the Watkins Glen Police Department.
Deputies say Robert Stevens, 27, of Montour Falls was arrested as result of a grand jury indictment for two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance.
An investigation led by the sheriff’s office resulted in the charges after Stevens sold a controlled substance to a confidential informant within Schuyler County.
Stevens was found hiding in an upstairs bathroom- and was eventually taken into custody after refusing to surrender.
He was transported to the Schuyler County Jail to await arraignment.
