A ribbon cutting event was hosted on Thursday by Arbor Housing and Development to show the new community garden at Lamphear Court in the City of Corning. The project took about 5 months to develop.
There are 22 plant beds in the garden space and it will provide neighbors the chance to grow vegetables, fruits, and flowers.
Jeanne Glass, the Project Manager at Arbor Housing and Development said there are benefits to the community’s mental and physical health.
A grant from NeighborWorks America helped fund the project.
