This announcement comes weeks after Pfizer and BioNTech sought full approval for their vaccine in the United States.
Moderna’s current contract with the United States agrees to provide 300 million doses of its vaccine. More that 151 million doses have been distributed in the United States and 124.5 have been administered as of Monday.
