The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-car crash that was caused by snowy roads, according to a press release.
Lorrie Jean Rood, 59, of Lyons was traveling east on Rt. 31 when she lost control of her car and collided with an oncoming DOT snow plow.
The crash happened in the town of Arcadia, according to deputies.
Rood was extricated from her vehicle by fire personnel and transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with a head injury.
The DOT driver involved in the crash was not hurt. Deputies say Rood was ticketed for traveling too fast for conditions.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Newark Fire Department and the Newark Town Ambulance.
