Two people were hospitalized after a crash involving an ATV on Wednesday around 1 a.m.
Deputies responded to the report of an ATV crash in the area of State Rt. 88 and Silver Hill Rd. in Arcadia.
They say that an ATV was being operated in a field east of Rt. 88 when it flipped on its side following a sharp turn at a high rate of speed.
The operator, identified as 48-year-old Robert Slocum Jr., of Newark, and passenger Norwood Hughes III, 42, of Newark, were both transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Deputies were assisted on scene by Newark Fire and EMS, as well as Marbletown Fire Department and County Medic 86.
