Arcadia man ejected from vehicle in violent Wayne County crash, escapes with minor injuries

Deputies say they are investigating a crash that happened in the town of Arcadia at the intersection of Sutton and Brumm roads during the morning hours on Sunday.

The sheriff’s office reports that around 11:10 a.m. on Sunday Jeffrey Krebbeks, 54, of Arcadia was found to be at the bottom of a ditch in a creek pinned between his vehicle and a concrete slab.

Deputies say Krebbeks was traveling west on Sutton Rd. and failed to stop at the intersection with Brumm Rd.

His vehicle continued westbound through the intersection and down into a ditch with a creek.

He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, according to deputies.

They say that Newark Ambulance, Lyons Town Ambulance, Marbletown Fire Department and the Newark Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Deputies say the investigation remains active.
