Republicans in the state Senate are pushing for the end to a rule that requires the sale of food with alcohol.
It was a rule that was established during the reopening process in New York after the pandemic shutdown.
However, as restaurants and bars are given the green light to expand operation to 75% in coming weeks- some say the food rule is unnecessary.
It’s unclear if Democrats will get on-board with the change in the short-term.
