Lodi man leads deputies on pursuit through Schuyler, speeds top 100 mph during chase

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of two individuals- one from Lodi, and another from Elmira following a vehicle chase through several communities.

Edward Robinson, 30, of Lodi and Nichole Paul, 29, of Elmira were both taken into custody on a number of charges after Robinson led officers on a chase through Watkins Glen, Burdett, and Hector.


The vehicle eventually became stuck in a seasonal road. As the driver, Robinson was charged with felony criminal contempt, fleeing an officer, reckless driving, driving without a license, and speeding.

Deputies say the vehicle was traveling 100 mph in a 55 mph zone at the time of the incident.

The passenger, identified as Paul was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice on a warrant out of Pennsylvania.

Deputies were assisted by New York State Police, the Watkins Glen Police Department, and the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
