How should the city of Canandaigua connect the lakefront and various commercial areas within its boundaries?
That’s a question being explored by city officials, who told The Daily Messenger that crossing 5&20 is a major challenge, whether you’re walking or driving.
This week, on February 18, a public workshop will take place at 7 p.m. to explore the topic. A study is being completed with grant money obtained for the Canandaigua Local Development Corp. That’s a venture between the City, Town, and Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce.
“People are coming from out of town, out of state,” Mayor Palumbo told the Messenger. “I think it will help commerce a tremendous amount to be able to move people around.”
