Mets announce new Spring Training schedule, say fans allowed at 20 percent capacity

The Mets announced their new schedule for the upcoming Grapefruit League Spring Training circuit.

The team will play 24 exhibition games this spring — facing the Miami Marlins, Washington Nationals, Houston Astros and St. Louis Cardinals six times each.

Things kick off on March 1, with the Mets facing off against the Miami Marlins in Jupiter. The first home game of spring at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie will be March 2 against the Astros.

Clover Park expects to allow fans in the stands, opening the stadium up to 20 percent capacity, which is approximately 1,400 people.

Mets’ pitchers and catchers will get things started on Friday, Feb. 19, with the first full-squad workout set for Monday, Feb. 22.

Single Game presale for Spring Training Season Ticket Holders will be Tuesday, February 16 at 10 am. Single Game presale for New York Mets Season Ticket Holders and St. Lucie Mets Season Ticket Holders will be Thursday, February 18 at 10 am. Single Game tickets for the General Public will go on sale Saturday, February 20 at 10 am.

All tickets must be purchased online at mets.com/springtraining.
