Grand opening for new Auburn Aldi store planned for February 25

Things are going well for Aldi, as the company continues forward with opening 100 new stores across the U.S. in 2021. The company is also expected to add 500 new curbside pickup sites this year.

The coronavirus pandemic has provided a massive boom for the grocery business, but for Aldi – an already rising star in the grocery landscape – it has supercharged its growth.

“We’re incredibly proud to continue growing in all aspects of our business, from opening new stores to enhancing our e-commerce offerings, especially in light of the challenges businesses have faced in the last year,” CEO Jason Hart said of the company’s growth since last year to Supermarket News. “Our commitment to our shoppers, new and existing, is the same. We will do everything in our power to offer the lowest possible prices every day, and we look forward to supporting more communities across the country with amazing Aldi products at a value that can’t be matched.”

Last October, officials with Aldi confirmed that they were relocating their Auburn store from its current space near the Fingerlakes Mall to a plaza on Grant Ave.

Now the company says that grand opening of that site is days away. The new store, which will be located in the former A.C. Moore craft store space, will officially open on February 25.

Aldi has a number of locations throughout the Finger Lakes and Central New York – including Auburn, Canandaigua, Farmington, Lyons, Penn Yan, Seneca Falls, and Ithaca.
