WellNow Urgent Care will hire 300 employees at sites across multiple states as business grows

WellNow Urgent Care, one of the country’s fastest-growing urgent care providers, announced plans to hire approximately 300 employees over the next three months to fill open positions at its centers in New York, Ohio, Illinois and Michigan. This accelerated hiring strategy follows WellNow’s December 2020 acquisition of Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health, which nearly doubled WellNow’s footprint, making it one of the top 10 urgent care providers in the United States.

“It’s an exciting time to join WellNow as we continue to grow at a rapid pace,” said John Radford, M.D., President at WellNow Urgent Care. “In 2020 alone, we served more than a million patients, opened nine new centers and acquired Hometown Urgent Care. We pride ourselves on the excellent, patient-first care we provide within our communities, and that starts with hiring and developing the very best talent.”

The new positions will support new WellNow centers set to open in 2021 and to backfill recently promoted positions. Open roles for clinical providers include Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, Medical Assistants, X-Ray Technologists, and more. WellNow is also hiring Receptionists and other administrative and customer support roles. A full list of open positions can be found at https://wellnow.com/join-our-team/.

“WellNow teams come together every day to deliver a remarkable care experience and support the health of local communities,” said Christa Bertolini, Vice President, Human Resources at WellNow Urgent Care. “As we continue to grow, the team experience is just as important as the patient experience. Our core values revolve around both, and we invest in every team member to make sure they can develop skills that will span their entire career.”

Urgent care centers are an increasingly important part of the U.S. healthcare marketplace, providing patients with much-needed access to quality care with shorter wait times and lower costs than the traditional emergency room. In the last year, WellNow has hired more than 1,000 new team members. The company currently employs more than 1,750 team members across four states.
