Firefighters were called to a residence on Friend Rd. in Penn Yan over the weekend.
It happened Saturday afternoon, as first responders were called to a mobile home fire on Friend Rd.
Firefighters from the Benton, Branchport-Keuka, Penn Yan, and Potter fire departments were able to put the fire out.
However, it sustained substantial damage in the blaze. The Red Cross was contacted to assist the homeowner.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
