A Penn Yan man faces multiple felony charges after a traffic stop in the town of Benton.
Ryan Thomas, 23, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon.
Deputies said that Thomas was found with an illegal weapon, as well as heroin at the time of the stop.
He was held pending arraignment. The charges will be answered at a later date.
