Cayuga County residents in the 15th District will have a new representative in the legislature when 2022 arrives.
Ryan Foley, a Democrat from Auburn, announced this week that he will not seek re-election for a third term. He doesn’t believe his career will allow him appropriate time to fulfill the role.
Earlier this week Brian Muldrow, a Auburn businessman, announced that he would be running for the District 15 seat, which encompasses part of the city of Auburn.
“I have had such an amazing experience on the county Legislature while representing the people of District 15 for the past eight years,” Foley said in a press release. “I’ve amassed substantial knowledge and have had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people. It has been a rewarding experience.”
