The Cayuga County Health Department alerted the public late-Thursday about a potential COVID-19 exposure at Burger Shack & More in the town of Locke.
They say an employee who was working Thursday, October 15th from 5-7 p.m. and Friday, October 16th from 5-7 p.m. tested positive.
Burger Shack is located at 868 Main Street in Locke.
Members of the public who were at the restaurant during the timeframe listed above may have been exposed and should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from the date of potential exposure.
Public health officials say that those who experience symptoms can see them appear between 2-14 days after exposure.
Symptoms include fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, and a sore throat.
Other symptoms are possible. If feeling ill – stay home and contact your primary care physician.
