Public health officials say it’s been about a month since the COVID-19 cluster at a Corning nursing home was first discovered.
The total number of cases connected to the Corning Center of Nursing & Rehabilitation has risen to 76.
A total of 51 residents and 25 employees have tested positive for the virus.
Public Health Director Darlene Smith tells Finger Lakes News Radio that there were ‘no major red flags’ for the center, in terms of protocols that could have led to the outbreak.
Steuben County’s number of COVID cases has already exceeded August’s figures.
