Deputies: Two sent to hospital after crash in Wayne County

Deputies say two people was sent to Strong Memorial Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Route 441 in Walworth.

It happened on Saturday around 6:44 p.m. when a vehicle operated by Cory Smith, was traveling east on Route 441. A second vehicle, operated by Miles Clement, was headed west began to make a left turn.

Deputies say Clement did not see the oncoming vehicle operated by Smith due to sun glare, which caused the collision.

Smith wasn’t hurt. However, Clement was transported by Western Wayne ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital. His passenger was also transported to Strong.
