Officials in Rochester are trying to locate a person who was seen in a video being knocked off a bench as a garbage truck attempted to collect a container in the city.
It’s unknown at this point if the person is a city resident. The truck’s arm attempts to pick up the container, and in the process knocks a bench forward.
The woman, who was sitting on the bench at the time, was lashed forward as the arm jarred.
Karen St. Aubin, director of the Bureau of Operations for the city, tells 13WHAM that the incident happened in the area of South Avenue and Comfort Street.
It was initially unclear how badly the woman was hurt.
The video shows that the incident happened in late-July. The driver involved retired shortly after it allegedly took place.
That employee never reported the incident. The woman also did not report the incident.
