SUNY Plattsburgh suspends more than 40 students after large social gathering, unclear if they will be allowed back

Dozens of students at SUNY Plattsburgh have been suspended after a large party was reported and investigated by college officials.

Altogether 43 students violated campus health and safety rules, according to News10NBC.

They say students gathered at a beach on Lake Champlin and did not maintain social distance. Very few of them even wore masks.

Police are said to have assisted with the investigation. The students have since been kicked off campus until further notice.

It’s unclear when, or if they will be allowed to return.
