Officials say an inmate at the Elmira Correctional Facility has died after a stabbing.
It occurred earlier this week.
Rodriguez Quinones, 39, died at Robert Packer Hospital on Friday from injuries sustained in the incident.
He was stabbed during an altercation involving a number of inmates on Tuesday. He was serving an 8 year sentence for burglary.
The stabbing remains under investigation.
