As the use of grocery delivery services grows amid the Coronavirus Pandemic, lawmakers are looking at making some SNAP changes permanent.
Both the State Senate and Assembly passed a bill that would allow the use of food stamps for online grocery orders in New York.
A federal pilot program, which started before the pandemic in 2019 allowed people to use their SNAP benefits online, but only at select locations.
This measure would expand it and make it eligible on a permanent basis.
