Mynderse sophomore’s art selected by First Lady for art show in Washington D.C.

Mynderse Academy sophomore Grace Lando recently had her artwork selected by First Lady Melania Trump to represent all of New York State for an art show in Washington D.C. that will be hosted by the White House.

Lando created a pencil drawing using depicting a pair of influential suffragists, Ida B. Wells and Alice Paul. Behind the drawing of the two women, Grace repeated an important quote from their lives that expresses what each stood for.
