Rochester Regional Health, URMC begin allowing visitors at hospitals on Thursday

The region’s two major hospital systems will be allowing visitors again beginning Thursday.

There will be plenty of rules, but hospitals in the Rochester Regional Health and URMC systems will get the green light for limited visitation.

Strong and Rochester Regional hospitals will allow patients who do not have COVID-19 a total of two designated visitors throughout their stay, according to News10NBC. To visit, you’ll have to be 18-years-old and only one person will be allowed to visit each day.

Strong visit times will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Meanwhile, Rochester General will allow visitors from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., then from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Nursing homes and long-term care facilities are mostly operating under different rules than hospitals, so don’t expect to see any visitation at those facilities.
